The predicted salary is between 10 - 13 £ per hour.
Duties:
- Ensure that all Hygiene and Health & Safety rules and procedures are followed.
- Follow all relevant safe systems of work and safe operating procedures.
- Work as part of the team to ensure picking targets are achieved each day/week.
- Liaise with the Harvesting Supervisor/Manager with any issues/concerns with team members & Machinery.
- Ensure all waste and resources are kept to a minimum.
- Keep the growing houses and other linked areas clean and tidy at all times, using a ‘clean as you go’ rule.
- Ensure the right mushrooms are harvested in the right punnet.
- Maintain sizes – one size in one punnet.
- Ensure presentation – 1 class mushrooms must be capped up, with appropriate stalk length and stalk cut.
- Ensure picking quality and quantity to a minimum of 25kg per hour.
- If any disease is found, report this straightaway to the supervisor.
- Harvest all mushrooms, irrespective of their size, with long stalks.
- Ensure all beds at the end of the shift (last shift of the day) are in the end of the house.
