The Role
The Warehouse/Forklift Operative is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation by picking, packing, loading, and dispatching products accurately and safely within a fast-paced fresh produce and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload vehicles and move stock within warehouse and chilled storage areas.
- Complete paperwork, scanning, and traceability records accurately.
- Inspect products for damage or quality concerns and report issues promptly.
- Maintain clean, organised, and safe dispatch and warehouse areas.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, allergen control, and health & safety procedures. Wear required PPE and work safely at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding shortages, delays, or operational issues.
- Support team performance and assist other departments when required.
- Maintain a flexible and positive approach to daily operational duties.
- Carry out additional responsibilities in line with business needs.
Essential Criteria
- Experience driving a forklift/forklift license.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or fast-paced environment.
