We are looking for an experienced sales person.

This is a varied role, to include excellent customer service and provide product advice. The candidate will be expected to serve all customers, both trade and retail.

Responsibilities

· Build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

· Actively support customers in person, via the telephone or by email, including taking and processing orders.

· Where additional assistance is required, liaise with the Branch Manager.

· Work closely with the Transport Department, arranging deliveries and collection of goods, including any Inter Branch Transfers.

· Adopt a pro-active approach to every aspect of this role, attending to all customers\’ needs in the timeliest, efficient and professional manner.

· Ensure that all Customers needs are addressed prior to closing a conversation. If the opportunity allows, aim to maximise a sale by suggesting other products that may be of interest or \’selling up\’, will benefit.

· Negotiate any potential orders, remaining mindful of maximising profit.

· Produce customer quotations, adhering to the required standards. This may involve pricing stock goods or sourcing any special items, which may require you to liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.

· Update the sales systems with all orders processed.
