Following our successful award of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Driver Training Contract, Hughes Driver Training – the UK's largest HGV/LGV driver training provider – is expanding our team of instructors to deliver exceptional driver training to Armed Forces personnel across multiple military bases. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious national contract, supporting the transition and upskilling of service personnel in their professional HGV driving careers.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality HGV and Car driver training to MoD personnel
- Maintain high training standards in line with MoD and Hughes Driver Training requirements
- Ensure all training is compliant with DVSA and internal quality frameworks
- Provide clear, patient, and professional instruction to learners at all levels
- Promote road safety, professionalism, and best driving practices
Qualifications:
- Hold a clean Category C+E licence with a minimum of 3 years' HGV driving experience
- HGV driver training experience is desirable but not essential – full instructor training will be provided
- Current PDI / ADI qualification is desirable but not essential – full instructor training will be provided
- Confident communicator with the ability to adapt your teaching style to suit each learner
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
- Strong knowledge of road safety
- Commitment to delivering excellent driver training to military personnel
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate before employment commences (required)
Salary: HGV £15.50 per hour plus pass bonus, when deployed to ADI training this will be uplifted to £16.78 per hour plus pass bonus. Full training given. Be part of a landmark National MoD training contract.
