At Blue Ribbon Community Care (rated as an “Outstanding” care provider by the CQC) we don’t just care for vulnerable people, every day we make a positive difference to their lives, we bring joy, and we always treat people with dignity. This is not like working in an Office! Now we are looking for compassionate and caring people (new or experienced) to join us as Care Workers in Sunderland.
Whether you are already experienced, either by looking after family, or even having worked in care, wish to change path, returning to work or are looking for something genuinely interesting and want to make a difference to somebody’s life every day – this is the role for you.
Responsibilities- You’ll be helping people live well, whether it be personal care or companionship.
- You’ll be the friendly face and ear for people in need.
- You’ll bring your warmth and empathy to people.
- You’ll be working as part of a close-knit team who genuinely support each other.
- You’ll be supporting people who need your help.
- You’ll be working with fellow kind and compassionate people who want to do well for other people.
- You’ll be working with a care provider rated as “Outstanding” by the CQC (no more than 5% of all care providers in the Country have this rating).
- You’ll be getting proper pay – we are members of “The Real Living Wage Foundation” so we actively campaign for better wages across Sunderland and Washington (we also pay mileage at 35p per mile between calls as well as a "waiting time" payment).
- Bank holidays are paid at x1.5, x2 or x3 (depending on which holiday it is).
- All the PPE you need as well as 3 uniforms.
- You do NOT need previous experience for this, you’ll be fully trained by us, we’ll train you on our systems, you’ll meet the team you’ll be working with and you’ll meet the people you’ll be supporting before you start.
- You do need to be a kind and caring person.
- You do need to be reliable and professional – someone we can all rely on.
- You do need a car and a UK drivers license (we are community based).
