We are seeking a confident and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Norfolk, supporting a portfolio of small to medium-sized projects servicing Tier 1 service providers and direct with Local Authorities and NHS. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys working across diverse project types, from infrastructure to commercial refurbishments and public sector works.
Responsibilities
- Take commercial responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple small to mid-sized projects (typically Β£250kβΒ£10m in value).
- Provide cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration services.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure robust financial management.
- Prepare and manage cost reports, interim valuations, change controls, and final accounts.
- Support framework contracts and long-term client relationships through consistent, value-driven performance.
- Manage risk and opportunity proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and mentor assistant procurement and estimating staff and contribute to team development.
- Manage the link between estimating, procurement, operations and finance to ensure delivery of projects to agreed margins.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5β7 years\β experience in a QS role, ideally within a large multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
- Proven experience managing smaller works packages or standalone medium-scale projects.
- Familiarity with various contract forms (particularly NEC and JCT).
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider national delivery team.
- Competent in cost software tools and MS Office Suite.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client/project sites across Norfolk.
