The Finance Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Aberdeen, with flexibility for part-time work from home. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow monitoring, and general ledger management. The Finance Manager will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making. This role will manage financial controls, ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices, and coordinate with external auditors, banks, and professional service providers. The Finance Manager will also support commercial decision-making on client engagements, pricing, and investment decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and internal reporting for the leadership team.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting standards and practices (e.g., IFRS), general ledger management, and preparation of management accounts.
- Experience in financial analysis, variance analysis, and developing insights to support business and investment decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP software; ability to improve and streamline financial processes and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
