Role:
As Course Lead, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering our Level 2, Level 3, and T Level Health programmes. This role combines high-quality teaching (approx. 22 hours per week) with curriculum leadership, team coordination, and responsibility for learner outcomes.
You will lead a committed delivery team, ensuring that teaching, learning, and assessment meet outstanding standards and that the curriculum is responsive, employer-informed, and aligned to T Level requirements. This role is ideal for an experienced FE practitioner ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing Course/Programme Leader looking for a new challenge in a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Quality Leadership: Support the planning, coordination, and quality assurance of Health & Social Care and Science programmes, including T Levels. Drive continuous improvement, using data to monitor progress and inform actions. Work with external partners and employers to enhance the curriculum and support learner progression.
- Team Leadership: Support teaching staff under the direction of the Curriculum Manager. Embed a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and professional development.
- Teaching & Learning: Deliver outstanding teaching across Level 2, Level 3, and T Level programmes. Implement effective assessment and feedback processes to support learner progress. Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
- Operational Management: Manage course administration, compliance, and documentation. Provide clear, timely reports on performance, KPIs, and curriculum developments.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a related area, a PGCE.
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care at Level 2 & 3, including T Levels (essential).
- Possess sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge to lead the curriculum provision and teach on programmes in the area.
- Up-to-date industry experience relevant to Health & Social Care.
- Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and quality processes.
- Ability to build and maintain employer and stakeholder partnerships.
- Confidence in motivating and supporting a curriculum team to achieve KPIs.
