Senior Data Engineer
At Huel, we take nutrition seriously and so do our data. We have built a modern stack that lets the whole business answer its own questions fast, and we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to own it and lead the team behind it.
You will set the technical direction across Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt and AWS, stay hands‑on with code, lead a small data engineering team, raise the bar on how we build, and make data‑driven decisions the default across Huel.
Role Overview
- Lead and grow the data engineering team: mentoring, code review, and setting the bar for what good looks like.
- Own the direction of our data stack and the roadmap that takes it forward.
- Stay hands‑on across dbt models, pipelines and custom integrations.
- Work with teams across the business to turn messy questions into answers people can trust.
- Champion data governance, quality and observability, so nobody has to check the numbers twice.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in serious data engineering and leading teams or projects.
- Strong expertise in SQL, dbt and Snowflake, and comfortable using Python for integrations.
- Set high standards (CI/CD, testing, code review) and enforce them.
- Able to explain complex technical trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Passion for the craft, the team and delivering data to people who need it.
