There’s always something new happening at Huel, and our Finance team plays a key role in supporting smart, commercial decision-making. We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you’ll support the accounting of stock and logistics costs, working closely with our operations teams while gaining hands‑on experience across month‑end, inventory, and wider finance processes.

Here’s an overview of your day to day:

  • Logistics – You’ll own the accounting for all of our carriage and warehousing around the world. This includes managing some complicated areas of accruals and costing, and assisting in the analysis of warehousing and logistics performance.
  • Inventory – You’ll support with our inventory close process working alongside our stock accountant, coordinating over 40 locations reporting £40m+ of inventory.
  • Business partnering – You’ll be working with the Operations and Logistics teams, collaborating to improve reporting accuracy and provide financial insight to support our Operations Finance Business Partner.
  • Efficiency improvements – You’ll be constantly on the lookout for ways to improve the efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of our financial results, through automation and AI, and will take the initiative to make these happen.
  • Audit support – every good accountant looks forward to that time of the year and you’ll be no different!
  • Ad hoc projects – You’ll spend a portion of your time involved in ad‑hoc projects, and may also be required to support other areas of the Finance team or wider business as needed, in line with business priorities.

Qualifications

First and foremost, you must know your debits and credits. You must be part‑qualified and actively working towards completing a relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), or be AAT qualified with strong, relevant experience in this field. Attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver to deadlines will be critical. Some analytical experience with an eager proactiveness to solve problems and seek solutions. Some experience working with commercial teams in and outside of finance, a willingness to go the extra mile to support the business, and being able to translate our finance concepts into relatable terms. You’ll be a great communicator and influencer, able to work with a range of people.
