The role:

  • Be the key technical contact for safety, legality, and quality of our RTD products.
  • Monitor consumer complaints for RTD products, identify recurring quality trends, investigate root causes cross-functionally, and drive corrective actions through to completion.
  • Provide regular reporting on complaint volumes, categories, outcomes, and resolution progress to stakeholders.
  • Quickly identify any potential product issues and use your strong relationships with suppliers to put in speedy and effective resolutions.
  • Review monthly and quarterly KPIs with the manufacturer to improve performance and develop action plans to maintain safety and quality standards to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide NPD support and use your technical and processing knowledge to highlight any potential safety or quality issues in the early stages of development.
  • Carry out supplier and product risk assessments, determining, prioritising and implementing actions against hazards caused by allergens, micro, hygiene etc.
  • Carry out supplier audits and ensure that they implement actions against any non‑conformances in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with suppliers to facilitate the roll out of the ‘Huelway code’ which is instrumental in delivering our technical strategy and the key to protecting our brand.
  • Attend factory trials and first productions to establish production parameters and ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Onboard new suppliers, protecting the safety and quality of the brand at all times.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • A degree in Food Science or related discipline along with 2-3 years of experience working in this field.
  • Experience in beverage manufacturing is preferred for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of thermal processing with the ability to challenge, influence, and support manufacturers in these areas.
  • A thorough understanding of EU and UK food legislation.
  • Proven ability to raise and maintain standards, delivering continuous improvement across quality, food safety, and process compliance.
  • Auditing expertise and experience carrying out risk assessments, with confidence in identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, able to work effectively with co‑manufacturers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
  • A strong track record of relationship‑building, ensuring collaboration between external partners and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, able to prioritise, adapt quickly, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel locally and globally (at least quarterly) to oversee suppliers, audits, and factory trials.
  • Confident analysing quality data and complaint trends to draw meaningful conclusions and prioritise action.
