Hey! We're Huel, and we're pleased to meet you. Our culture thrives on high performance, and we set the bar high for new Hueligans who join us. We invite you to read this advert for our new Management Accountant (12 month FTC) position to understand the role, and explore our values before applying to ensure we have the right working environment for you.

The role

There's always something new happening at Huel, and our Finance team plays a key role in supporting smart, commercial decision-making. We're looking for a Management Accountant to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll support the accounting of stock and logistics costs, working closely with our operations teams while gaining hands-on experience across month-end, inventory, and wider finance processes.

Here's an overview of your day to day:

  • Logistics – You'll own the accounting for all of our carriage and warehousing around the world. This includes managing some complicated areas of accruals and costing, and assisting in the analysis of warehousing and logistics performance.
  • Inventory – You'll support our inventory close process working alongside our stock accountant, coordinating over 40 locations reporting £40m+ of inventory.
  • Business partnering – You'll be working with the Operations and Logistics teams, collaborating to improve reporting accuracy and provide financial insight to support our Operations Finance Business Partner.
  • Efficiency improvements – You'll be constantly on the lookout for ways to improve the efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of our financial results, through automation and AI, and you will take the initiative to make these happen.
  • Audit support – every good accountant looks forward to that time of the year and you'll be no different!
  • Ad hoc projects – You'll spend a portion of your time involved in ad hoc projects. You may also be required to support other areas of the Finance team or wider business as needed, in line with business priorities.

What we’re looking for in you

First and foremost, we need you to know your debits and credits! You must be part-qualified and actively working towards completing a relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), or be AAT qualified with strong, relevant experience in this field. We're looking for someone who can jump straight in and take ownership from day one. Attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver to deadlines will be critical. Some analytical experience with an eager proactiveness to solve problems and seek solutions. Some experience working with commercial teams in and outside of finance, a willingness to go the extra mile to support the business, and being able to translate our finance concepts into relatable terms – no one wants to talk accruals and debits! You'll be a great communicator and influencer, able to work with a range of people.

And as always, we're on the lookout for new Hueligans who love a fast-paced environment and are always striving to be their best. We want people who aren't afraid to think differently and push boundaries. If you're all about setting big goals and believe that amazing things happen through creativity and teamwork, you'll fit right in at Huel!

What do we offer in return?

We know that at times, our teams face demanding pressures, and exceptional effort deserves meaningful rewards. That's why we've created a world-class perks and benefits program designed to support our Hueligans in achieving their best, both professionally and personally, while celebrating the global impact they're making!

  • Hybrid working – We spend Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office together. The remaining two days have the option to be worked from home.
  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Free Huel to keep you going
  • 2 weeks a year to work remotely from anywhere
  • Dog friendly
