The role at Huel is critical for scaling our technology, data, and operations. We’re looking for an experienced Head of Information Security to lead this area and help protect Huel’s systems, data, and services.
In this role, you’ll shape and drive our information security strategy across a modern cloud-based environment. You’ll work closely with teams across Technology, Data, Engineering, and IT Operations to strengthen our security posture, embed good security practice, and support the safe adoption of new technologies, including AI.
- Develop and maintain Huel’s information security strategy, aligned with business priorities, technology risks, and growth plans.
- Oversee core security capabilities, including threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, access controls, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Engineering, Data, and IT Operations to embed security across the full lifecycle of applications, systems, and infrastructure.
- Support the safe and responsible adoption of AI by defining appropriate guardrails, controls, and best practices for internal use.
- Lead risk assessments and drive initiatives to strengthen Huel’s overall security posture.
- Own and evolve security policies, standards, governance processes, and ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant frameworks.
- Manage external security partners, deliver cybersecurity awareness initiatives, and provide clear reporting on security posture, risks, and priorities to stakeholders.
What we're looking for in you:
- Strong knowledge of frameworks, standards, and regulations such as NIST, Cyber Essentials, and GDPR.
- Experience building or maturing capabilities across risk management, incident response, vulnerability management, governance, and awareness.
- Experience working with third-party security providers across services such as penetration testing, Managed Detection and Response, and compliance programmes.
- A strong understanding of how to enable the safe use of AI within a business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- The credibility and confidence to influence senior stakeholders and drive positive security outcomes across the organisation.
