The role Huel’s D2C channel is critical to our ambitious omnichannel growth plans. We operate across multiple markets with a big focus on driving core markets, scaling emerging opportunities and entering new viable markets. The D2C channel naturally requires a large investment in marketing spend which also plays an important role in supporting growth in our Retail and Amazon channels. As all 3 channels grow, we need to be deliberate and analytical in how we allocate our marketing spend portfolio to support overall business growth across all three channels.
We’re therefore looking for a commercially minded, analytically sharp Finance Business Partner to own both the financial performance of our global D2C channel and partner our marketing teams to drive rigour and accountability around all aspects of omnichannel spend. Act as the primary finance lead for the global D2C channel, building strong relationships with trading and marketing teams while providing proactive financial challenge and support to drive sound decision making. Monitor and manage key D2C KPIs, ensuring teams stay focused on the right metrics to drive sustainable, profitable growth. Understand the interplay between new customer acquisition and repeat purchase, including one-off and subscription, and support trading teams to balance both to maximise channel growth and profitability. Own the D2C P&L, driving integrity of channel reporting, ensuring costs are allocated correctly, and delivering clear, timely commentary on performance.
Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles for D2C and marketing spend, ensuring plans are realistic, aligned with Huel’s strategy, and risks and opportunities are managed throughout the year. Model growth initiatives and scenario planning for the D2C channel, identifying risks and opportunities outside standard planning cycles and working with trading teams to mitigate or maximise them. Own the overarching view of global omnichannel revenue performance and outlook, including a higher-level overview of Retail and Amazon alongside full D2C detail, and act as the primary business contact for global omnichannel marketing spend. Advise on allocation and investment decisions to maximise short- and medium-term return on spend, working with marketing and data teams to improve attribution, measure return across channels, and own the digital marketing effectiveness framework with a focus on LTV and CAC.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years’ post-qualified experience and proven business partnering experience.
- Hands-on Ecommerce experience, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods.
- Strong understanding of marketing finance, including LTV, CAC, ROAS and contribution margin frameworks, alongside broader marketing metrics such as awareness, consideration and impressions.
- Confident communicator who can engage, influence and build trust with senior non-finance stakeholders.
- Commercially curious, highly analytical and genuinely interested in understanding the business beyond the numbers.
- Able to build financial models at the right level of complexity, then explain outputs simply, clearly and commercially.
- Calm and effective when juggling competing demands, comfortable with ambiguity, able to set direction independently, and actively curious about how AI is changing finance.
And as always, we’re on the lookout for new Hueligans who love a fast-paced environment and are always striving to be their best. We want people who aren’t afraid to think differently and push boundaries. If you’re all about setting big goals and believe that amazing things happen through creativity and teamwork, you’ll fit right in at Huel!
What do we offer in return?
- Hybrid working - We spend Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office together. The remaining two days have the option to be worked from home.
- 30 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays
