The role

As Huel’s Ready-to-Drink range continues to expand across retail and innovation pipelines, we’re looking for a Beverage Technologist to help drive product quality, process control, and supplier performance. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining technical standards across our RTD portfolio withanalysing data to identify improvements, managing supplier KPIs, and ensuring product consistency through robust quality systems and on-site collaboration.

  • Day-to-day be the key technical contact for safety, legality, and quality of our RTD products.
  • Quickly identify any potential product issues and use your strong relationships with suppliers to put in speedy and effective resolutions
  • Review monthly and quarterly KPIs with the manufacturer to improve performance and develop action plans to maintain safety and quality standards to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide NPD support and be able to use your technical and processing knowledge to highlight any potential safety or quality issues in the early stages of development.
  • Carry out supplier and product risk assessments. You will determine, prioritise and implement actions against hazards caused by allergens, micro, hygiene etc.
  • Carry out supplier audits and ensure that they implement actions against any non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with suppliers to facilitate the roll out of the ‘Huelway code’ which is instrumental in delivering our technical strategy and the key to protecting our brand

What we\’re looking for in you

This role is best suited to someone with:

  • Experience working within food and drink manufacturing sectors is a must for this role.
  • Ideally, you’ll have a food science-related degree or will have 2-3 years of experience working within this field.
  • Have thermal processing and aseptic manufacturing knowledge.
  • You’ll be driven and be able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of food legislation in the EU and UK.
  • Proven track record of raising standards.
