The role:
To help ensure we continue to have workspaces that we’re proud of, we’re looking for a new Assistant Facilities Manager to join our People team that can help maintain and manage our UK workspace sites in Tring, Milton Keynes, London, and Birmingham! You’ll help create a fun, safe and productive workplace that attracts, retains, supports and engages current and future employees.
Here’s an insight into your day-to-day:
- You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the daily operations across our workspace locations are running smoothly, safely, and at peak performance every day.
- You’ll be ordering, installing, and maintaining office furniture and equipment, ensuring each site is fully equipped with stylish, functional, and on-brand solutions.
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance for all sites, keeping equipment and infrastructure in top shape.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to address any maintenance needs quickly and efficiently, manage relationships with third-party service providers, and negotiate contracts and track service levels to hit KPIs and ensure seamless service.
- Keep senior management in the loop with regular reports on facility status, maintaining clear communication with on-site teams and other departments to ensure flawless operations across the board.
- Collaborate with the Senior Workspace Manager and Hueligans to create a seamless, high-performance work environment and support company launches and events.
- Adhere to the facilities budget, keeping costs under control while still delivering top-tier service and quality.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies without sacrificing performance.
- Support the Senior Workspace Manager in overseeing design and construction initiatives for new and existing office spaces, ensuring projects stay on budget, on time, and meet our high-quality standards.
For this role, you will be based onsite 5 days a week. The majority of your time will be spent at our HQ in Tring. You will also have monthly day visits to our London and Birmingham workspaces, alongside our Milton Keynes factory.
What we’re looking for in you:
This role would be a great fit for someone with around 3+ years of experience in facilities management —whether that’s managing offices and workspaces or working in a related area like property management. You’ll also need:
- The ability to work both autonomously, as well as part of a wider team.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Someone who is very proactive and has a strong eye for detail.
- Any Health and Safety certifications such as NEBOSH are a major bonus, but not mandatory.
