Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a stable, permanent role with excellent benefits and long-term career prospects? Hue Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Hemel Hempstead.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position involving the delivery of construction materials across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. In addition to driving duties, you may be required to assist with other reasonable tasks within the business when deliveries are not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with company and legal requirements
- Complete multi-drop deliveries of construction materials
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours and vehicle inspections
- Operate tachograph equipment in accordance with regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Comply with all health and safety procedures
- Undertake other reasonable duties within the business when required
Skills & Requirements
- HGV Category C Licence (essential)
- Valid CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- HIAB / ALLMI Certification (preferred)
- Good understanding of transport legislation and safety requirements
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused approach
Working Hours
- 44.75 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 06:45am – 4:15pm (including 1-hour unpaid break)
- Alternate Saturdays required (minimum 20 Saturdays per year)
- Additional weekday hours are accrued as Time Off in Lieu (TOIL), subject to management approval and workload requirements
- No overnight stays
