An exciting opportunity has arisen for a degree-qualified Materials Engineer / Metallurgist to join a specialist technical team supporting customers across aerospace, motorsport, defence, medical, energy, nuclear, and advanced engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide metallurgical and technical support to customers and internal teams.
  • Prepare, etch, and assess microstructures.
  • Support mechanical, physical, and chemical testing activities.
  • Handle chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Assist with laboratory activities and customer training sessions.

Qualifications

  • BEng/BSc in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy.
  • Experience with metallography, microstructure analysis, and laboratory testing.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • Salary up to £45,000 per annum.
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00.
  • Friday: 07:00 – 15:30 (37 hours per week).
  • No weekend working.
