As a PR Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering strategic, creative PR campaigns for a portfolio of standout food, drink and travel brands. Working closely with Account Directors and senior leadership, you'll help set the direction for accounts, nurture strong client relationships, and ensure consistently excellent delivery across earned media influencer campaigns as well as new business pitches.
This role is ideal for a senior PR professional who is strategically minded, creatively driven, and ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. You'll balance handsâon campaign delivery with team mentorship, client counsel and commercial responsibility, thriving in a fastâpaced, ideasâled agency environment.
Support and shape client strategy: You'll work closely with our creative and strategy teams to ensure new business is driven through the business in the right direction. You'll also contribute to the development and execution of smart, insightâled PR strategies that build brand reputation and deliver measurable impact across food, drink and travel clients.
Be a trusted client partner: Build strong dayâtoâday relationships with clients, offering clear counsel, creative thinking and confident communication, while supporting senior stakeholders on larger accounts.
Champion creativity: Lead the development and delivery of compelling stories, activations, partnerships and launches, working collaboratively from idea generation through to execution.
Lead and develop teams: Line manage and mentor account managers and executives, ensuring strong performance, clear progression, and a positive, motivated team culture.
Support new business growth: Identify organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and actively contribute to pitches, proposals and credentials for new business.
Ensure delivery excellence: Oversee campaign delivery, timelines and budgets, ensuring work is consistently on brief, on brand and on budget.
What you need to have:
- Strong agency experience: At least 10+ years' PR experience, ideally within an agency environment, with a strong focus on food, drink, hospitality and/or travel brands.
- New business focus: Experience in driving forward new business across food, drink and travel. Leading pitches from start to finish.
- Strategic thinking: Proven ability to translate client objectives into effective PR strategies and campaigns.
- Media expertise: Established relationships with key journalists and influencers across food, drink, travel, lifestyle and consumer media.
- Creative mindset: A passion for storytelling, brandâbuilding and developing ideas that cut through culturally and commercially.
- Commercial awareness: Experience supporting budget and forecast management, team planning and resourcing and identifying opportunities for organic growth.
- Excellent communication skills: Outstanding writing, presentation and clientâfacing abilities.
- People leadership: Experience lineâmanaging and developing junior team members (SAM â AE) in a supportive, collaborative way.
- Proactive and solutionsâfocused: A selfâstarter who brings energy, fresh ideas and a calm, problemâsolving approach.
