experienced trainer
in
Automated systems
(experience in areas like
SCADA PLCs, Process Control, Robotics
to deliver high quality learning solutions to customers on their products and providing significant opportunities to be involved in new training projects. With a background in electrical or electronics engineering ( from industry or academia ) you will be a lead trainer, to help customers get the best out of their portfolio of automation products through training courses. (Specific company product training will be given) This role is HYBRID – at the training centre OR customer sites, onsite and virtual. Key Responsibilities The preparation and presentation to staff and customers of a range of training courses on industrial automation products and solutions either face to face or remotely delivered at the Training Centre, or at customer sites throughout the UK. Equally important are the proactive identification of further customer training requirements and the formulation of appropriate training solutions to meet those requirements. The role involves both presentation of standard courses and the negotiation, design and delivery of customised training programmes. Although most of the training is at the training centre regular travel throughout the UK is required to carry out sales support visits, carry out skills gap analysis and deliver training solutions to customers. Qualifications/Experience Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) and should have sound experience of working with
industrial automation systems
within discrete and process manufacturing industries. Practical current experience of programming/commissioning or servicing industry automation based (automated -based) systems is essential. There is a range of experience areas which would be considered for this role including
PLCs, industrial networking, HMI, SCADA, Process Control, Robotics, CNC and Drives. Candidates should
ideally have previous formal training experience
, preferably customer training in an industrial environment, and enthusiasm and ability to deliver quality training solutions to customers. The successful applicant will display a high level of self-motivation and be willing to both use initiative and accept responsibility. Other aspects of the role require a certain commercial awareness and a passion for developing and maximising business opportunities. Experience in skills analysis would also be useful as part of this role involves liaison with our customers when proposing appropriate training solutions.
