Procurement Manager – Civil Infrastructure Projects\\n\\nA leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the South West. This is a key leadership role within the procurement team, managing subcontracts, plant, and materials procurement while overseeing a small, capable team of four.\\n\\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure procurement, ideally with experience working in secure or regulated environments. This role offers excellent scope for progression and long-term project involvement, with a competitive salary and benefits package.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\nLead procurement strategies and execution across multiple infrastructure and construction packages.\\n\\nTake ownership of subcontract, plant, and materials procurement — from tender to final award.\\n\\nWork closely with delivery teams, commercial, and planning departments to ensure procurement aligns with programme and commercial goals.\\n\\nLead a team of four direct reports, providing mentorship, guidance, and day-to-day support.\\n\\nConduct supplier negotiations, manage risk and compliance, and drive value for money through strong market engagement.\\n\\nEnsure procurement activity meets legal and organisational compliance standards, including prequalification, vetting, and contract execution.\\n\\nProvide regular updates to the Head of Procurement and support broader procurement improvement initiatives.\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\nEssential:\\n\\nSignificant experience in procurement within the infrastructure or civil engineering sectors.\\n\\nStrong understanding of subcontractor, plant, and materials procurement.\\n\\nExperience managing or mentoring a team.\\n\\nKnowledge of procurement frameworks, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.\\n\\nEligibility for UK security clearance (must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years).\\n\\nDesirable:\\n\\nPrior experience working in MOD-controlled or similarly regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, defence, or secure infrastructure).\\n\\nMCIPS qualified or working towards.\\n\\nFamiliarity with NEC or similar contract types.\\n\\nPackage\\n\\nSalary: £65,000 – £75,000\\n\\nCar allowance\\n\\nCompany benefits package\\n\\nEnhanced pension contribution\\n\\nOpportunities for further progression and development\\n\\nInterested?\\n\\nIf you're a strategic procurement professional looking to step into a senior role on complex infrastructure projects, we’d love to speak with you.
