Overview:
An established and respected engineering manufacturer is seeking a Skilled Metal Finisher (Polisher/Fettler) to join their team. This is a hands-on role within a small, dedicated polishing department, where you will work primarily with stainless steel components for food processing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality polishing and fettling on stainless steel surfaces, including satin, mirror, shot blast, and scotch-bright finishes.
Work in a small team within a polishing shop, as well as on large machinery outside the shop due to equipment size.
Occasionally assist with on-site installations at customer locations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, despite the naturally dirty nature of the role.
Requirements:
Proven experience in metal finishing, polishing, and fettling, particularly with stainless steel.
Familiarity with various finishing techniques and tools.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding and sometimes messy environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site installations.
Salary & Benefits:
