Mechanical Inspector / Quality Inspector
Days | £15.00–£19.00 per hour | 28 Days Holiday + Pension
An established precision engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector / Quality Inspector to join its quality team.
The position will involve the inspection of precision machined components , ensuring parts meet the required dimensional and quality standards before release.
The Role

Inspect precision machined components

Carry out dimensional and visual inspection

Work from engineering drawings and specifications

Use micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment

Operate CMM and automated inspection equipment

Record inspection results and identify non-conforming components

Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
The company currently uses Ferranti and Keyence inspection equipment , so previous experience with either would be advantageous.
What We’re Looking For
You should have previous mechanical inspection experience within a precision engineering, CNC machining or manufacturing environment .
You will need to be confident using standard mechanical inspection equipment and have experience operating a CMM .
Experience inspecting CNC machined components and interpreting engineering drawings would be particularly relevant.
This is a permanent days position paying £15.00–£19.00 per hour , depending on experience, plus 28 days’ holiday and pension .
