Control and Instrumentation Engineer (C&I Engineer) £Competitive + Bonus North EastABJ7303 As an experienced Control and Instrumentation Engineer (C&I Engineer) you are required to provide the control, software development, and instrumentation assistance to support the Control Systems Engineer in support of continuous improvement initiatives and current projects for a global manufacturing site organisation. Key Responsibilities Oversee site control system projects, encompassing front-end design, programming, commissioning, and the transition to operational status. Manage external project Control and Instrumentation (C&I) resources, verifying their qualifications and ensuring the completion of all relevant documentation. Ensure adherence to all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) protocols within the designated area of responsibility. Address daily troubleshooting of issues pertaining to instrumentation and control systems. Act as the deputy for the Control Systems Engineer. Maintain ongoing communication between C&I and production personnel regarding all aspects of C&I. Provide site support outside regular hours when requested for issues related to instrumentation and control systems. Qualifications and Experience HND or HNC in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification. Plant site background C&I – Utilities / Chemical / Process /Materials Experience of plant control systems would be advantageous.
