We’re recruiting for an Electrical CAD Designer to join a successful engineering manufacturer designing bespoke electrical equipment. This role would suit someone who enjoys producing accurate electrical layouts and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and working closely with production to see designs become finished products.

The Role

  • You’ll be responsible for producing electrical layouts, manufacturing drawings and 3D models for a range of bespoke engineered products.
  • Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams you’ll help develop practical, buildable designs that move efficiently from concept into production.

We’re looking for someone with experience of:

  • Electrical layouts and technical drawings
  • 2D & 3D CAD
  • SolidWorks (preferred)
  • Electrical assemblies, control panels, switchgear or similar products
  • Design for manufacture
  • Working within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN would also be beneficial but isn’t essential.
