Job Description

Estimator & Account Manager – CNC Machining

Ready to move off the shop floor and into a client-facing, commercially rewarding role? We’re looking for a CNC-savvy professional—ideally someone with a background in programming or machining—who’s ready to take the next step into estimating and account management. If you understand how components are made and want to apply that knowledge in a dynamic, customer-focused environment, this could be your perfect move.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Estimator & Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing a significant portion of our order book. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate, commercially sound quotes based on customer drawings and specifications

  • Advising clients on manufacturability, design tweaks, and production efficiency

  • Building long-term relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business and mutual success

  • Supporting onboarding of new clients and contributing to continuous improvement across the team

  • Balancing technical insight with commercial awareness to minimise risk and maximise value

This is a hybrid role—part technical, part relationship-driven—perfect for someone who’s ready to step away from the machine and into a broader business role.

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid understanding of CNC machining, ideally from a programming or hands-on background

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to quoting and customer support

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • A proactive attitude and commitment to personal development

  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in helping customers succeed

If you’ve been thinking about moving into a front-end role but weren’t sure how to make the leap, we’ll support your transition with training and mentoring. Many of our team have made the same journey—and thrived.

What’s in It for You

  • Competitive salary—tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll talk

  • Profit-related bonus scheme

  • 34 days pro-rata annual leave (including statutory holidays) plus your birthday off

  • Supportive, forward-thinking team environment

  • Company sickness scheme and contributory pension (subject to criteria)

  • Death in Service life assurance

Hours of Work

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–5:00pm (30-minute lunch)

  • Friday: 7:30am–12:30pm

If you’re a CNC Programmer or Machinist ready to evolve your career, we’d love to hear from you—even if you don’t tick every box. Let’s talk about where you could fit and how we can help you grow.
