We are recruiting for Electrical Assemblers / Wiring Technicians to join a growing specialist engineering and manufacturing business based in Colnbrook. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with electrical, assembly, manufacturing or workshop experience who are looking to develop specialist technical skills within a stable, long-term role.
Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be involved in the assembly and wiring of bespoke electrical equipment used across a range of large-scale commercial projects throughout the UK and internationally. The Role
As an Electrical Assembler / Wiring Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring specialist electrical equipment while maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training and support as you develop your skills.
Duties Will Include:
- Electrical wiring and assembly of bespoke distribution units
- Cutting, stripping and preparing cables
- Crimping sockets, connectors and cables
- Using hand and power tools daily
- Reading and following wiring instructions and technical drawings
- Supporting quality control and manufacturing standards
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Basic understanding of electrics or electrical principles
- Good practical and hands-on skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work within a busy workshop environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work independently using initiative
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Wireman, Electrical Assembler, Panel Wireman, Electrical Fitter or Electrician’s Mate
- Experience using hand or power tools
- Ability to read technical or AutoCAD drawings
- Manufacturing or workshop experience
