A growing and innovative engineering business operating at the forefront of subsea and offshore technology is looking to appoint a Senior Design Engineer (Electrical) to support a range of high-specification projects. This position combines electrical and mechanical design, with a strong focus on engineered connection systems (including cable-based assemblies, harnessing, and integrated electro-mechanical solutions).
As a senior design engineer (electro-mechanical / electrical background), you would play a key role within a specialist engineering team, offering the opportunity to work on complex electro-mechanical systems used in demanding environments, including offshore energy and remotely operated applications in the cables sector. As an experienced electrical design engineer, you will play a central role in the design and development of critical connection systems, cables, and assemblies that support performance, reliability, and safety in challenging subsea conditions like remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
Remote / Hybrid working is available following an initial onboarding period, during which time you will spend time on-site to integrate with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of electro-mechanical cable systems, including power, signal, and fibre-based solutions.
- Develop specifications based on customer requirements.
