An experienced Electrical Design Engineer with control panel design expertise is required to join a well-established and growing engineering organisation delivering innovative automation and engineering solutions across a range of industries. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, technically strong team environment, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineered solutions from concept through to installation and client support.
You will work closely with Mechanical Design, Software, Project and Installation teams, contributing electrical designs, control panel layouts, schematic drawings, and technical support to both internal teams and external clients. This is primarily an office-based role in the South East, with occasional travel to client or supplier sites as projects require.
Key Responsibilities- Design electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics using Eplan Pro Panel
- Produce control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable schedules and component specifications
- Specify and source components in collaboration with purchasing and software teams to meet project and cost targets
- Select PLC/HMI hardware alongside software engineers
- Support service/spares teams with technical queries and parts sourcing
