Health and Safety Manager– South East c£70k South ABJ6781 PERM As Health & Safety (H&S) Manager you will join an established manufacturing organisation to take a leading role in managing Health & Safety across a complex, high-hazard manufacturing site in the south east. The site operates under Upper Tier COMAH regulations, making this a key position for an experienced Health & Safety (SHE) professional with strong knowledge of process safety, regulatory compliance and high-hazard manufacturing environments. As HSE Manager you will work closely with the Site Manager and wider leadership team, you will provide visible, practical Health & Safety leadership while supporting continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities · Lead and manage the site's Health & Safety (SGE, HSE, SHEQ) management systems. · Support site leadership in maintaining compliance with Upper Tier COMAH Regulations and UK legislation. · Provide expert Health & Safety advice to the site leadership team. · Identify and implement improvements to reduce workplace injuries, incidents and exposure risks. · Lead and develop the site Health & Safety team. · Manage key site processes including induction, contractor management and emergency response drills. · Audit critical control systems, including Permit to Work, and ensure any deficiencies are addressed. · Lead investigations into accidents, injuries and incidents and oversee corrective actions. · Develop and deliver Health & Safety training programmes.
