An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Panel Wiring Technicianto join a leading engineering and R&D team developing advanced hydraulic testing systems for global customers.
This is a practical, workshop-based role where you will be responsible for assembling and building electrical control panels, enclosures, sub-assemblies and interconnecting cables for special-purpose equipment.
As an electrical panel wiring technician you will have a good understanding of electrical/electronic components, and the ability to work confidently from wiring drawings and schematics while maintaining a very high manufacturing standard.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Assembly & Wiring
· Assemble electro-mechanical systems and sub-assemblies from drawings and build procedures
· Build electrical control panels and enclosures from scratch, including mechanical assembly
· Drill, tap and fit internal panel components including relays, terminal blocks and power supplies
· Carry out electrical crimping, soldering, wiring and looming to a high standard
· Assemble cables, including crimping connectors, cable termination, looming and labelling
· Work accurately from electrical/electronic drawings, schematics and engineering documentation
Testing & Quality
· Inspect and test completed electrical assemblies as required
