We are recruiting for Electrical Assemblers / Wiring Technicians to join a growing specialist engineering and manufacturing business based in Colnbrook. Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be involved in the assembly and wiring of bespoke electrical equipment used across a range of large-scale commercial projects throughout the UK and internationally. The Role
As an Electrical Assembler / Wiring Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring specialist electrical equipment while maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training and support as you develop your skills.
Duties Will Include:
- Electrical wiring and assembly of bespoke distribution units
- Cutting, stripping and preparing cables
- Crimping sockets, connectors and cables
- Using hand and power tools daily
- Reading and following wiring instructions and technical drawings
- Supporting quality control and manufacturing standards
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Basic understanding of electrics or electrical principles
- Good practical and hands-on skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work within a busy workshop environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work independently using initiative
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Wireman, Electrical Assembler, Panel Wireman, Electrical Fitter or Electrician’s Mate
- Experience using hand or power tools
- Ability to read technical or AutoCAD drawings
- Manufacturing or workshop experience
