Chemistry /Materials Lab Technician (R&D) c26k + Benefits South East ABJ7611 1-year full time contract With a background in chemistry and / or materials our client is looking for a chemist /materials scientist / or laboratory technician who would like be part of a global organisation supporting R&D Technical Support for the development of new materials and within laboratory function for Materials, Product Development Projects. As a chemistry or materials chemist you would be testing, gathering and recording chemistry data and using laboratory equipment at an operator level, preparation of chemical solutions, and handling of materials. Key Responsibilities * Conduct laboratory analysis of materials as required, using analytical techniques like IC and ICP-OES. * Materials testing hardness testing etc * Responsible for the delivery of technical data in support of projects and service work. * Assess the chemical properties of the substrate * Gather, interpret, and record data using computers and online systems. * Operate and maintain lab equipment. * Help upkeep cleanliness of the lab environment, maintain and track sample records. * Assist with a broad range of tasks to support the R&D teamβs daily operations and project needs. * Contribute to maintain and support continuous improvement and high standards for safety and quality. * Participate on-going improvement of the laboratories and equipment, capability, knowledge management and transfer of best practices. This could be a great first role for a graduate to gain experience, training in a global company.
