Are you an IT professional looking to take ownership of a varied and hands-on IT environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation, providing 1st and 2nd line support across a range of systems and devices, while working in a collaborative and supportive team.
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other endpoint devices, as well as maintain the core server infrastructure, backups, telephone system, and documentation. You will get to work with real hardware, applying your skills to troubleshoot, repair, and optimise IT systems on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support via the IT Service Desk for end users across physical and virtualised (VMware) environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2025 and Windows 11 desktops.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access via Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
- Configure and maintain hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support enterprise messaging and unified communications systems (Microsoft Exchange & Mitel).
- Travel occasionally between sites and provide remote support as required.
- Maintain documentation, adhere to ISO standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety and company policies.
You will need a car for this role for occasional travel between sites.
Background in IT, Information Systems, Applied Networking, or System Administration.
Experience with Windows 10/11, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange.
Experience working in SME environments and supporting a variety of IT systems.
