We are urgently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabrication Engineer to join a leading manufacturing and engineering services company supporting exciting upcoming projects for both UK and export clients. This is a hands-on, varied role working on the construction of processing equipment, combining practical welding and fabrication with collaboration across the production team and, occasionally, client sites.
Pay: PAYE: £20/hr (but this is a permanent role) - shifts as per below + overtime etc
- Carry out welding and fabrication in stainless steel (1.0mm 12mm thickness), including pipework/purge.
- Work with TIG and Synergic MIG welding processes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding tolerances, bend allowances, and fabrication standards.
- Maintain high-quality standards on all projects, whether in the factory or onsite.
- Follow Health & Safety policies and maintain discipline, hygiene, and attendance standards.
- City & Guilds qualification in Welding and Fabrication, or apprenticeship in a recognised engineering environment is advantageous.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment (industrial equipment / factory).
- Strong practical fabrication skills and familiarity with sheet metal machinery.
Contract Details: Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Friday: 7:30 to 12:00 (unless working overtime). Breaks: 10-minute morning break, 30-minute lunch. Overtime: hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings if required; a reasonable amount of overtime may be requested by Supervisors or Managers.
