Location: Preston
Purpose: To manage the commercial and contractual aspects of acoustic installation projects, ensuring effective cost control, profitability, and value for money from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets, costs, and cash flow
- Produce valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Procure materials, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Monitor and manage variations and change orders
- Administer contracts (JCT/NEC) and manage commercial risk
- Produce regular financial reports and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to support delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, fit-out, or specialist subcontracting
- Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office tools
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar)
Desirable:
- Experience in acoustic systems, partitions, ceilings, or interior fit-out
- Membership of or working towards RICS or CIOB
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
