Your Role
We’re seeking an automation-focused QA Engineer II to join one of our cross-functional product teams in our Human Performance group. This squad is focused on building cutting-edge solutions for athletes and sports teams that directly impact how they train, compete and achieve peak performance. We’re looking for the best Engineers to help build the best products for them.
As a QA Engineer, you’ll:
- Think like a user. Everyone at Hudl is expected to interact with our users.
- Test. Use your customer and system understanding to create test strategies and plans.
- Evaluate. You’ll find the root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions to address them.
- Automate. You’ll use your knowledge to assess what to automate, then use design service and UI layer automation to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Ship. You’ll test, talk with users, evaluate trends and deploy code on a frequent basis.
For this role, we\’re currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in London. But with our flexible work policy, there aren\’t any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.
Must-Haves
- A focus on quality. You understand the big picture and strive to use what you know to improve quality and velocity.
- Technical know-how. You have in-depth experience with testing desktop, web and/or mobile applications, and deep knowledge of automation with tools such as Playwright and Selenium. You’ve worked with developers and QA to shift testing left in previous roles.
- Customer-focused. You think critically about the user experience and want to do what you can to improve their workflows.
- Problem solver. You’re proactive and have a drive to investigate and find solutions.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with hardware. You’ve tested with relevant hardware products, such as wearable devices.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies. If you’ve used these, and/or spent time ensuring data accuracy and verifying data integrity across systems, that’s a plus.

The base salary range for this role is displayed below—starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.
