Your Role
We’re looking for an Account Executive II to drive revenue and expand our footprint across the U.K. rugby landscape and elite sport universities. You’ll be the face of Hudl for organizations like the RFU, SRU and WRU, as well as top-tier institutions such as Loughborough and Cardiff Metropolitan. In this role, you’ll:
- Own your territory. You’ll build and execute a Territory Success Plan to surpass aggressive revenue goals. You’ll identify the best Hudl packages for each client, maximizing deal value through effective negotiation and a focus on long‑term profitability.
- Build elite relationships. You’ll have high‑level conversations with athletic directors, head coaches and executives. You’re not just selling a product; you’re setting expectations and providing the resources—like expert chats and tutorials—that help customers succeed.
- Master the stack. You’ll maintain a precise Salesforce pipeline, forecasting revenue weekly with accuracy. You’ll know your numbers MTD, YTD and annually, ensuring management always has a clear picture of your wins and losses.
- Thrive on the front lines. You’ll gather market feedback and competitive insights to share with stakeholders across Hudl. Whether it’s through “tales from the road” or 1‑on‑1s, your input will help shape our future product strategy.
For this role, we’re currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in London. With our flexible work policy, there are no set requirements for the number of days you come to the office.
Must‑Haves
- Experienced. You have 3+ years of proven sales experience (or 2+ years of internal Hudl sales experience with a track record of hitting 120% of your quota). You’re an expert at navigating the full sales stack, including Salesforce and Outreach.
- Rugby and market expert. You have deep knowledge of the U.K. rugby market and the university sports landscape. You can translate complex client needs into complete solutions that help teams win.
- A skilled negotiator. You’re comfortable with prospecting, objection handling and closing high‑value deals. You know how to drive a sale forward while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and payment collection.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Technical proficiency. Familiarity with Hudl Sportscode or general video editing skills is a plus.
- Challenger mindset. You’ve been trained in or practiced the Sales Challenger methodology.
- Willingness to hit the road. You’re comfortable with up to 25% travel to visit clients at tournaments, coaching clinics and on‑site meetings.
Our Role
- Champion work‑life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above statutory leave, company‑wide holidays and timeout (meeting‑free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
- Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
- Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you resources and opportunities to keep growing.
- Provide an environment to help you succeed. We’ve invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. Whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide the tech you need to do your best work.
- Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you’re located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.
Compensation
The base salary range and on‑target earnings (OTE) for this role are displayed below. Typically, the total compensation will fall within the middle of the OTE band. Our compensation decisions are based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices. Final compensation will depend on your performance against quotas outlined in your Individual Sales Plan (ISP) upon hire.
Inclusion at Hudl
Hudl is an equal opportunity employer. Through our actions, behaviors and attitude, we’ll create an environment where everyone, no matter their differences, feels like they belong. We offer resources to ensure our employees feel safe bringing their authentic selves to work, including employee resource groups and communities. We also track our efforts in annual inclusion reports.
