We are looking for a legal assistant to join our Civil Liberties Team in our Hull Office. In this role, every day will be a unique and exciting challenge that will include:
- Set the tone of the initial client journey in accordance with our company values through your upbeat, but empathetic, handling of initial client queries.
- Always maintain our call and email handling service level agreement standards in terms of speed and quality of response.
- Communicate with the client via email, telephone and live chat to establish key information to enable a detailed note of instruction to be prepared in readiness for assessment by a senior colleague.
- Following assessment, notify the client of our decision and deal with any follow up correspondence.
- Record new enquiries and open files on the case management system.
- Monitor own task list daily to ensure all deadlines are met and monitor the task lists and emails of other team members when on leave.
- Assist with the preparation of electronic Court bundles.
- Support fee earners generally in the running of the cases.
In the role you will need:
- Previous experience in a supporting role within the professional industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver excellent client care and possess empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances.
- Be IT literate, including knowledge of using case management software or similar.
It is desired that you have:
- Experience within the legal profession.
- Be keen to learn, interested in driving your own career progression and be proactive in taking ownership of this.
