A unique opportunity for a talented marketer to join a creative independent production & brand licensing company. This talented team has produced award-winning animations, feature films, and TV series for children. The company is known for their beautiful, imaginative films and high-quality products which delight children and family audiences. They directly manage production, licensing, global distribution and marketing from their central London offices. Due to the continued growth of their established business, they’re looking to expand the team and further develop their marketing function with this exciting hire.
Responsibilities
- Set the global marketing and PR strategy, enabling the growth of their TV series, portfolio of films and family brands, and the development of their corporate brand.
- Deliver global growth across the portfolio of established entertainment brands, working closely with the distribution, licensing and production teams to develop marketing plans that coordinate activity across both content and consumer product launches to deliver maximum ROI.
- Market the content effectively to broadcast and digital partners, working closely with Sales and Distribution teams to build out the international B2B marketing strategy, and representation of the corporate brand at key events and festivals.
- Create the vision for their YouTube strategy to ensure it is financially robust, moves the company forwards and considers new distribution methods.
- Establish measurable targets and goals across the mix of marketing activations to drive/back up strategy and decisions.
- Work closely with external agencies to develop and deliver innovative B2B and consumer marketing campaigns with the support of your internal team.
- Create and deliver B2C marketing plans that increase reach for their animated TV series for preschoolers, launching in 2026.
- Devise and set the strategy and budget for B2C marketing plans across their existing TV series, and future series plans.
- Develop high-level events and activations with retail and brand experience partners to create impactful consumer product launches.
- Continue to develop and evolve marketing services across the business, building close relationships and ensuring support is appropriately provided to licensing, distribution, production and corporately.
Qualifications
- Experienced marketer with strong commercial instinct and a data-driven approach to developing effective marketing strategies.
- Previous exposure to the broadcast industry / TV or film production is essential, and experience of working with children’s and family brands would be ideal.
- Capacity to work in a generalist role, delivering integrated marketing campaigns whilst bringing a good level of expertise in digital and social media channels.
- An affinity to creative environments, with the ability to collaborate brilliantly and engage key stakeholders across the business.
- A real passion for film and television, with a good knowledge of the children/family genre.
- Creativity – an eye for effective creative, and a flair for marketing that stands out with consumers and trade.
- Bring strategic rigour whilst being happy to get stuck into the more hands-on execution side of the role.
- A self-motivated and enthusiastic leader, with high energy and a friendly approach to getting things done.
