The Role

You will be responsible for managing and administering the company’s pension scheme. This role involves ensuring compliance with pension regulations, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a point of contact for employees regarding their pension benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day active, deferred and pensioner administration, including calculations, AVCs, new joiners, opt outs.
  • General data maintenance for all categories of member, refunds deferred pensions transfers in (DC), transfers out, normal, late, early and ill-health retirements, retirement quotations, deaths in service/deferment/retirement.
  • All Pensioner administration including adding and ceasing members to pensioner payroll, pension increases, tax queries, providing information to DWP, reclaiming overpaid pension instalments following deaths, tracing members when payments/correspondence are returned, commutation of pensions in payment, mortality exercises and general pensioner record maintenance including bank changes, address updates and power of attorneys.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Significant level of pension administration experience DB and DC.
  • Up to date knowledge of specific pensions legislation and HMRC requirements relating to occupational pension schemes.
  • Strong numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate.
  • Self-motivated, organised, acts on own initiative.
