Job Description

Pensions Technical Analyst (Governance) Location:

London (2 days/week) Salary: circa £50k + generous benefits (PMI, 15% pension contribution, flexible working hours)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading in-house pensions team as a Pensions Technical Analyst, supporting the Chief Governance Officer in delivering critical pension services to the Trustee and the company. This is a key role within the technical team, contributing across governance, compliance, legislation, funding, and policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft responses to technical queries, with oversight from the Technical and Compliance Manager or Chief Governance Officer
  • Provide specialist technical support on complex casework to the Administration team
  • Assist on company-wide projects by handling related technical inquiries
  • Support the resolution of IDRP complaints alongside the Technical and Compliance Manager
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of scheme returns, levies, event reports, and surveys
  • Analyse new or updated pensions legislation and report on its potential impact
  • Prepare papers for the Trustee Board and its sub-committees, including legislative and compliance updates
  • Maintain and develop technical procedures, ensuring they are accurate and up to date
  • Interpret Trust Deed and Rules to support accurate benefit calculations across all benefit types

About You:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in DB or DC pension administration
  • Solid understanding of pensions legislation and regulatory requirements, including The Pensions Regulator
  • Proven ability to manage complex, non-routine issues with sound judgment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-quality, error-free work
