We are seeking an experienced Pension Investment Accountant to join a specialist Group Pensions team. This is a highly technical role offering exposure across pension finance, investment operations, governance, regulatory reporting, and taxation. You will play a key role in ensuring pension schemes remain fully compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements while supporting investment reporting, financial control, and trustee governance.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, custodians, investment managers, auditors, and trustees, you will provide expert investment accounting support across a diverse and complex investment portfolio. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant with proven experience in pension scheme accounting, fund accounting, or investment operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) statements and ensure compliance with Scheme Investment Principles (SIP)
  • Support production of Trustee Reports and Annual Accounts, including investment disclosures and supporting schedules
  • Review investment accounting reports from custodians and property managers, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain investment ledgers and prepare accounting journals on a quarterly basis or as required
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, and outstanding investment commitments
  • Produce trustee investment performance and management reporting
  • Prepare pension scheme tax, regulatory, and statutory returns, ensuring timely submission
