Part‑Time Academy Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist (Casual)
Reports to: Head of Academy Medical
Purpose of the Role
Working with U9‑U16 age groups, the post holder will support Academy Physiotherapists/Sports Therapists in delivering a physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme and provide immediate medical cover on training and match days.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Support Academy Physiotherapists/Sports Therapists in delivering a comprehensive physiotherapy programme.
- Liaise with other Academy Sports Therapists regarding treatment, management and return to play for all Academy players.
- Deliver individualized assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to all Academy players as required.
- Provide match‑day medical cover (home and away, including evenings and weekends).
- Support the Academy injury audit.
- Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate injury notes for all Academy players in line with regulatory requirements.

Safeguarding
Requires Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) and clearance for work in football by the FA. Must have completed safeguarding training, agreed with Senior Safeguarding Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
- Member of a recognised regulatory body for Physiotherapists or Sports Therapists.
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or a related discipline.
- Valid Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football certificate.
- Ability to lead first aid cover for Academy fixtures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Compensation and Hours
Up to £20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Part‑time, 0–8 hours per week, evenings and weekends to cover fixtures (flexibility required).
