We are looking for an experienced marketer to join HubSpot’s Global Growth Marketing team as a Senior AEO Strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies for AI Engines, making strategic decisions that enhance HubSpot visibility and ultimately drive down-funnel conversions. Your objective will be to ensure the effective discovery and strategic positioning of HubSpot’s solutions for businesses worldwide when engaging with AI Engines.

As a key member of the International Growth team, you will lead and refine AEO optimization strategies across our core international markets in EMEA and Latin America. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical AI specialists, content strategists and regional marketers, to architect strategies that align cultural nuances, local market dynamics, and emerging AI platform behaviors.

Reporting directly to the Director of International Growth, this position provides considerable autonomy in defining our international AI Engine Optimization strategy by leading comprehensive research and analysis for complex, multi-faceted projects. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about developments in SEO & AEO/GEO, enjoy experimenting with emerging AI tools, and excel at connecting international audiences with B2B software solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Own and optimize multiple AEO strategies across platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews/AI Mode for our international markets.
  • Lead comprehensive keyword/topic research and competitive analysis for complex, multi-faceted projects.
  • Design and execute growth experiments tailored to different content formats and programs, accounting for cultural and linguistic variables across markets.
  • Collaborate with regional content teams to create AI-optimized content that resonates authentically in German, French, Spanish, and other key languages.
  • Establish scalable processes for international content creation & optimization that become team standards.
  • Track AI engine visibility metrics across platforms and markets, identifying specific optimization opportunities.
  • Proactively flag emerging trends in AI engine usage to challenge conventional thinking about search behaviors and to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build productive relationships across organizational levels, serving as the go-to AEO expert for international growth initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years in SEO & Growth Marketing, with a proven ability to manage international search optimization for measurable business impact.
  • AI Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of AI platforms (ChatGPT, Google AIOs, Google AI Mode, Claude), their system prompts, crawlers, and data retrieval mechanisms.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in prompt engineering and enhancing content for better parsing by LLMs, using semantic signals, entity clarity, and structured data.
  • Tools Knowledge & Application: Demonstrated experience with AEO optimization platforms such as Xfunnel, Ahrefs, GSC, and Botify. Proficient in APIs, Scripts, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementations and can leverage this knowledge to develop AI-powered solutions.
  • Cultural Fluency: Strong understanding of how search behaviors and buyer journeys differ across international markets.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English with advanced proficiency in one or more core languages (German, French, Spanish). Multilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in managing complex and ambiguous projects across multiple time zones and presenting AEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Growth Mindset: A passion for staying current on AI platform developments and international search trends.

Location: This role is open to candidates based in Ireland, United Kingdom, France or Spain.
