Location: Newcastle Quayside

Salary: Competitive + Commission - Realistic OTE 105K

Work Pattern: Hybrid 3 days In Person 2 WFH

The Opportunity: We are looking for a Sales Team Manager to lead a developing new business team across Business Development Managers and Business Development Representatives. The team has talent, ambition and market opportunity. What it needs now is sharp leadership, stronger rhythm and a clearer route from activity to ARR growth. This role gives you the chance to make a visible mark. Stronger coaching, sharper pipeline quality, better qualification and clearer accountability will make a measurable difference here. We will expect you to bring pace, judgement and care. In return, you will have room to influence, build capability and play a meaningful role in Hubexo’s commercial growth.

You will work closely with our VP New Business to help turn commercial priorities into team performance. You will lead the standards, coaching and pipeline discipline that help BDRs create better opportunities and help BDMs convert those opportunities into new revenue. This is a role for someone who has already led salespeople and now wants more influence. You will be close enough to coach the detail and senior enough to help shape how the new business plan lands. This is not a maintenance role. It is a chance to build a stronger new business engine in a specialist market.

This is what you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the sales rhythm for a team of BDMs and BDRs, making sure the team knows what good looks like and how to get there.
  • You will coach BDRs on targeted outreach, qualification and confidence in early customer conversations.
  • You will coach BDMs on discovery, value selling, stakeholder control, close planning and conversion.
  • You will challenge pipeline quality, forecast accuracy and weak opportunities before they become missed numbers.
  • You will use HubSpot, or an agreed CRM, to create visibility, accountability and better commercial decisions.
  • You will manage performance clearly and fairly, supporting people to improve while holding the line on standards.
  • You will work with Marketing, Product, Customer Success and Revenue Operations to improve how we position, sell and win.

About You: You are an experienced new business sales leader, not someone looking for their first step into management. You understand ARR, pipeline creation, new logo acquisition, forecasting and the reality of outbound sales. You know the difference between a busy team and a productive one. You can lead a mixed-experience team, from early-career BDRs to BDMs who need stronger deal control, market knowledge or commercial discipline. You are confident reviewing calls, challenging deals, testing forecasts and giving direct feedback. You are comfortable using HubSpot as a leadership tool, not an admin system. You may come from SaaS, data, insights, market intelligence, subscriptions, workflow software, construction, specification or building products. Sector experience would help, but new business sales leadership matters most.

Why Hubexo: We’re not here to coast - we’re here to challenge, grow, and build better. For our people and for our customers. That means we’ll expect a lot from you: ownership, precision, and a drive to lead by example. In return, you’ll get the space to dream big, take smart risks, and be seen, heard, and valued.
