Build your sales career by opening conversations with construction product manufacturers.

At Hubexo, we provide data, insights and software that help customers across the construction market make better decisions, work more efficiently and build more sustainably. NBS powered by Hubexo supports the construction industry with specification software, product information and digital tools used across the built environment. Our NBS Supplier proposition helps construction product manufacturers present their products clearly, improve visibility with specifiers and support better product decisions across projects.

As a Business Development Representative in our NBS Supplier team, you will speak with construction product manufacturers, understand what they are trying to achieve and book quality meetings for our Business Development Managers. You do not need to know the specification market from day one. We will help you learn the product, the customer base and the sales process. This is a strong entry point into B2B sales if you are confident speaking to people, motivated by targets and ready to learn how new business works in a specialist market.

The role

  • Your focus will be to source potential new customers for the NBS Supplier proposition.
  • You will make outbound calls, use LinkedIn, re-engage lapsed customers and follow up marketing activity to identify manufacturers and suppliers who could benefit from NBS.
  • This is a phone-led, target-driven sales role. Activity matters, but quality matters too. You will need to ask good questions, listen properly, handle objections and explain how NBS can help manufacturers improve their visibility, present product information effectively and connect with the specification market.
  • You will work closely with Business Development Managers so the meetings you book are relevant, well-qualified and have a strong chance of converting into sales.
  • You will be supported with sales training, product knowledge and clear performance expectations. This is a role where you can build confidence quickly, learn a valuable sales process and start earning monthly commission as your results improve.

Why this role matters

Construction product manufacturers need to get their products in front of the right people, with the right information, at the right point in the specification process. NBS Supplier helps manufacturers improve how their product information is presented, discovered and considered by specifiers. Your role helps create the start of that customer journey by opening conversations with businesses who want to increase visibility, support specification and grow their presence in the construction market. This is not a role where you wait for leads to land. It is about being proactive, resilient and commercially curious.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will identify and contact potential new customers across the construction product manufacturing and supplier market.
  • You will make outbound calls to relevant B2B decision-makers to understand their goals, challenges and current approach to specification.
  • You will re-engage lapsed customers and self-source new prospects.
  • You will use LinkedIn and other channels to support prospecting and networking.
  • You will follow up marketing campaigns and identify new business opportunities.
  • You will book qualified meetings for Business Development Managers.
  • You will work closely with Business Development Managers to support a strong conversion rate from meeting to sale.
  • You will learn the NBS Supplier proposition and understand how it helps manufacturers improve visibility, product information and engagement with specifiers.
  • You will maintain accurate Salesforce records so activity, meetings and progress are visible.
  • You will work to clear performance metrics, including phone activity, meetings booked, meetings sat and conversion from meeting to sale.
  • You may also attend industry exhibitions and field events to help identify and develop qualified leads.

About you

  • You are confident speaking to people by phone, video and online.
  • You enjoy working to targets and get energy from seeing your results improve.
  • You are interested in new business and enjoy opening conversations with people you have not spoken to before.
  • You communicate clearly and can build rapport quickly.
  • You are organised, resilient and able to manage a busy workload.
  • You are willing to learn a specialist market and understand how NBS supports construction product manufacturers and specifiers.
  • You can handle objections professionally and keep momentum in conversations.
  • You take ownership of your activity, follow-up and results.
  • Previous B2B sales, telesales, customer service or lead generation experience would be helpful, but it is not essential if you have the right attitude, confidence and willingness to learn.
  • Experience or interest in construction, building products, manufacturing, specification or the built environment would also be useful, but we will help you build your market knowledge.

Why Hubexo

At Hubexo, commercial roles are closely connected to customer growth. You will use our data, insights and software to help customers solve real problems across the construction market. You will join a business with trusted brands, strong market knowledge and long-standing customer relationships. In return, we need people who can build on those foundations, stay close to customer problems and take ownership of work that creates customer value. For this role, that means learning how to open conversations, create pipeline, build commercial confidence and support new business growth for our NBS Supplier team.

What you can expect

  • A clear entry point into B2B sales.
  • OTE of £32,000, with monthly commission.
  • Sales training and development to help you build confidence quickly.
  • A product proposition with clear relevance to construction product manufacturers.
  • A target-driven environment where results are recognised and rewarded.
  • A team that works closely with Marketing and Business Development Managers.
