We are looking for a Production Operative / Cable Harness Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working on high-quality specialist products for customers in defence, aerospace, rail, marine, and motorsport. If you have experience in cable harness assembly or a similar hands-on manufacturing role, we would love to hear from you.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, a £500 signing-on bonus for candidates with 2+ years relevant experience (upon completion of 90-day probationary period), and full training on our products, processes, and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Build products in accordance with drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Follow internal processes and quality procedures.
What you'll be doing

You will be trained to carry out a range of assembly and manufacturing tasks, including:

  • Wire Preparation (Cutting & Stripping)
  • Crimp and solder terminations
  • Assembling electrical and electronic components
  • Applying heat shrink and associated materials
  • Following build instructions for harness and electromechanical assemblies
  • Recording work activity and job progress using internal systems
RequirementsEssential skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred experience
  • Previous experience in cable harness assembly or a similar hands-on manufacturing, wiring, or electromechanical assembly role (around 3 years preferred)
  • Ability to follow work instructions, drawings and wiring diagrams.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm, 36.5 hrs per week. Overtime available as required.

Location

Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5) On-site role.
