We are now looking to fill this position and for the right candidate to be based in a commutable distance to Rotherham.

Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, the right candidate will be part of a small team responsible for delivering service, installation and troubleshooting of HUBER machinery to high quality standard.

This role involves predominately site work and a company van will be provided for travel.

Travel includes the Northern Regions of the UK, from time to time you may be required to work in other parts of the UK.

We are looking for a candidate with a general engineering or mechanical installer background with an understanding of a site technician’s role.

Your core responsibilities are as follows

  • You will carry out site visits to assess the scope of site work.
  • You will manage the relationship with the client on site.
  • You will organise the administrative aspects, which include crane plans, site reports and risk assessments and methods statements.
  • You will be responsible for organising external services, the review and management of sub-contractors.
  • You will liaise with the Regional Field Manager for the assessment of resource requirements.
  • You will enjoy the hands‑on aspect of the role where required and be accountable for site and job preparation work.
  • You will need to work on site as a Mechanical Service Technician during periods where there is no installation work.

Your profile

  • You ideally will have completed an apprentice scheme or an NVQ minimum Level 2 or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and you will have a minimum of four years’ experience.
  • You hold a CITB Site Supervisor qualification (although training can be provided).
  • You enjoy working with a variety of people and are confident to build relationships with clients, sub‑contractors and suppliers.
  • You will have a background of machinery repair and working on site installing equipment.
  • It would be an advantage but is not imperative if you hold a CPCS Appointed Person qualification, but training can be provided.
  • You need to be conversant with Microsoft office.
  • You are eligible to work in the UK.

The role requires somebody who enjoys the diversity of this role whilst working in a structured job environment with the opportunity to become a technical expert on HUBER products and processes, as well as interfacing with different internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, you will have a flexible attitude towards handling the different aspects of the role and be enthusiastic about learning.

As the right candidate, you will be highly self‑motivated and driven to get things done, conscientious and resourceful, with strong organisational skills and a sense of ownership of the tasks given.

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate initiative and diligence towards detail and managing multiple priorities.

A clean driving licence is vital to the role as well as the willingness to travel.
