Our Community Branch Network Division is seeking a client-focused Insurance Advisor, Personal Lines. We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Our Surrey office first opened its doors in 1979 within the Newton Crossing mall and has been operating there ever since. We are proud to be a long-term partner in the community, providing insurance solutions to both businesses and individuals in the area for over 30 years.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • 2+ years experience in personal insurance
  • Client service focused with exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent insurance product knowledge
  • Asset experience that will make you stand out: You have or are working towards an industry designation

A Day in the Life:

  • Administer a personal insurance book of business
  • Sell ICBC and private automobile coverage
  • Perform front line underwriting and write new home, travel, and umbrella policies while cross-selling other products
  • Develop new business opportunities by securing renewals and cross-selling
  • Contact clients for renewal information and provide policy and coverage details as needed
  • Adhere to production budgets, including ICBC Autoplan and Private Auto Sales
  • Ensure compliance with insurers, Insurance Council of BC, and Privacy Act rules
  • Manage ICBC inventory and handle documentation and funds properly
  • Handle customer complaints professionally
  • Represent HUB and uphold our values, mission, and vision
